N30 M3 Engineering

Course Details

Course Description: Upcoming Dates & Registration Information
This class will cover how to generate the database of an N30 Controller including N2 Objects, Alarms, Trends, Global
Objects, Schedules and the N2 bus. Students must have Laptops loaded with Johnson M-Tools Software.

Pre-Requisites: Students will need to have a laptop with M-TOOLS loaded.

Course Objectives:

  • Define the purpose and construction of the N31.
  • Define how to install and maintain an N31.
  • Define the purpose of an N2 bus, how it is installed and
    typical problems.
  • Given already programmed and downloaded ASC controllers and the Project Builder tool, construct an N31 database that includes at least 2 controllers, various points, trends, schedules, and passwords
  • Use the N31 to construct other programming features
    such as data sharing and etc.
  • Given a typical problem, troubleshoot it down to a
    component
